Classic Card Games You Can Play in the Browser

These are the familiar table games, rebuilt for a phone or a browser tab: no download, no account needed to start, and a computer opponent ready whenever you are. Pick a game against the computer when you want the push and pull of a rival hand, or a solitaire when you want a quiet puzzle you can put down and pick up later. Each game saves a match in progress, so a closed tab does not cost you a hand.

Against the computer

Rummy is the classic draw-and-discard game for two to four players: build sets of the same rank and runs in one suit, lay cards off onto melds already on the table, and get rid of your hand first. Gin Rummy is the two-player cousin where melds stay in your hand; you knock when your unmatched cards add up to ten or less, or go gin with none at all, and race to 100 points.

Cribbage is the pub classic played on a pegging board. Discard two cards to the crib, peg fifteens, pairs and runs as the count climbs to 31, then count your hand and move your pegs. The first to 121 wins, and every point is announced with the cards that made it, which makes it a good way to learn the count.

On your own

Klondike Solitaire is the seven-column game most people mean by solitaire, with draw-one or draw-three, unlimited undo and deals that a solver has checked can be won. Spider Solitaire uses two decks across ten columns; you clear a suit by building it from king down to ace, and you choose one, two or four suits depending on how much planning you want.

Questions about ⁨card games online⁩

Can I play rummy against the computer?

Yes. Rummy, Gin Rummy and Cribbage all deal you in against computer opponents, so you can start a hand straight away without waiting for other players.

Do I need to download anything to play these card games?

No. They run in a modern web browser on a phone or computer. Free players may see an ad when moving between games in the feed.

Which solitaire should I start with?

Start with Klondike if you know the classic seven columns, or Spider with one suit if you want a gentler introduction to Spider. Add suits once building long runs feels comfortable.
