“Make the Pokémon part impossible to miss and the first minute fair. Wherever I land, put 2–3 weak, common wild Pokémon and a Poké Ball pile within about 15 m of me, and roughly double the wild Pokémon across the map, clustered around the rifts and houses. For the first 40 seconds after I land, bots fight each other and the wild Pokémon instead of me, so I can shoot one down, catch it and watch it follow me before the big fights start. Highlight the nearest catchable Pokémon with a ring and a short cue (shoot to weaken it, then C or tap the ball to throw), and make a catch feel great: the ball shakes, flashes, and the Pokémon pops out and runs to join my army. Keep everything else as it is.”
